Unique 4 layer woodblock print. Carved by hand, this print was made using the reduction technique, in which each layer is printed from the same block. The lightest layer printed first, then more of the image is carved away on the same block, a subsequent layer is printed with a darker color, and so forth.

Because of this, reduction prints are unique and that image can never be reprinted, since its first layers are carved away necessarily to print a second color.

This limited edition print was printed in a suite of 8. Because of variation in ink and printing pressure, each print has some slight variation in texture.
